He has worked as a full-time employee with Tata Motors, IGATE Global Solutions, Target Corporation, Genpact and Saurashtra Cement, along with other consultancy roles. He has also worked as a full-time faculty with Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru and VITAP University, Vijayawada, apart from visiting faculty roles at other places. He was a key person for the start-ups, Analytics Audit and ProTrack Education Pvt. Ltd. His areas of expertise are Business Analytics and Operations Management.

Dr. Mehra is a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA in Operations Management. He completed his fellowship from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) in the area of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems (QMIS). His Thesis was in the area of Knowledge Management. He is a long-distance runner and has completed many Half-Marathons and 10K Open Runs. His spouse is a Bengaluru Traffic Police Warden and their daughter has completed her PUC-I this year.
