Council
The Institute Innovation Council (IIC) at Ramaiah Institute of Management drives a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup creation through the RIM Innovation and Incubation Centre (RIIC), established in August 2018.
RIIC enables the creation of entrepreneurs who generate and deliver value. The Centre nurtures ideas, mentors them to develop feasible business proposals, provides funding support, and enables commercialisation of innovations from within the MSRIM community.
A culture of entrepreneurship is developed through courses offered to students in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). An entrepreneurship specialisation is also offered to aspiring entrepreneurs within the PGDM programme, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to build and scale ventures.
Startups are provided with physical infrastructure including workspace, Wi-Fi support, library services, meeting rooms, and other essential resources to help them grow from idea to execution.
The Centre is supported by Ramaiah Evolute — the first cross-disciplinary startup ecosystem in India — which aims to harness the synergies of tech-savvy, next-generation, and talented students across the Ramaiah Group of Institutions.

Funding Support
Guidance on funding pathways including grants, angel investment, and venture capital, along with connections to investors through the Ramaiah Evolute network.
