Dr. P. Bhanumathi, with over 20 years of teaching and 12 years in research and administration, is the Controller of Examinations and an Associate Professor in HR & OB at M S Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bangalore. She holds a BE, MBA, and Ph.D. in Knowledge Management from the University of Mysore. A UGC-NET qualified academician and Ph.D. guide, her research focuses on Knowledge Management, AI in HR, and Strategic HRM. She has delivered invited talks on AI in HR and published in Scopus-indexed journals and chapters. Dr. Bhanumathi has earned accolades, including the Academic Excellence Award (2024) and the Best Capstone Project Award (2023).
Dr. P. Bhanumathi is an accomplished academician with over 20 years of teaching experience and 8 years of dedicated research expertise. She has been the Controller of Examinations at Ramaiah Institute of Management since October 2024 and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior (OB) and Human Resource Management (HR). Before this role, she was the Head of Academics from June 2023 to October 2024 and the Academic Coordinator for the PGDM-AICTE program since June 2016.
Dr. Bhanumathi holds a Ph.D. in Knowledge Management from the University of Mysore. Her thesis focused on identifying knowledge management enablers and processes in select SMEs around Bangalore. Her work proposed a practical model to enhance organizational performance. She is also a Ph.D. guide at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences.
Her research interests include digital transformation, AI in HRM, sustainable HR practices, inclusive leadership, and stress management strategies. Dr. Bhanumathi has published extensively in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals and chapters. She has presented her research at leading conferences and is a reviewer for prestigious publications like IGI Global and SAGE.
Dr. Bhanumathi is UGC-NET qualified and holds an AMT certification from AIMA. She actively participates in workshops, faculty development programs (FDPs), and training programs organized by institutions like IIIM-Bangalore, AICTE, and CII-IQ, covering many topics, including lean manufacturing, leadership, emotional intelligence, and AI.
Her accolades include the Academic Excellence Award (2024) and the Best Capstone Project Award (2023) from esteemed organizations such as the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Phoenix. These awards highlight her continuous dedication to excellence in academia and professional growth.

She also explores the role of Employee Well-Being, Mental Health, and Work-Life Balance in retention and organizational success, with particular attention to strategies for academic and corporate environments. Dr. Bhanumathi's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) research highlights how AI can support Women Entrepreneurs and Tech-Based Startups, driving multi-generational workforce engagement.
In addition, Dr. Bhanumathi investigates digital transformation in HR, incorporating predictive analytics, blockchain technology, and AI into HR practices. Her work focuses on data-driven HR practices to improve organizational performance, particularly in healthcare, banking, and IT sectors.
