Entrepreneurship & Innovation as a Career
Expert sessions exploring entrepreneurship as a career path — covering opportunities, challenges, and the mindset shift from employee to founder.
Empowering students to think like founders, act like innovators, and build like leaders — through mentorship, incubation, and experiential learning.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship (CFE) was established in 2022 with the objective of leveraging management education expertise to instil an entrepreneurial mindset among students and encourage and nurture student startup ideas.
The Centre serves as a vibrant hub where aspiring entrepreneurs receive the knowledge, mentorship, and practical experience needed to transform innovative ideas into viable business ventures.
Through a combination of specialised courses, competitions, cultural engagements, and incubation support, CFE bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world entrepreneurship — empowering students to think like founders, act like innovators, and build like leaders.
The Centre also facilitates the Prerana Entrepreneurship Club — a student-run forum that organises ideation challenges, market visits, hackathons, and innovation exhibitions, creating a thriving campus ecosystem of entrepreneurial energy.
CFE works in close collaboration with the Ramaiah Innovation and Incubation Centre (RIIC), established in August 2018, which has supported 10 startups and mentored 17 ventures through its extensive partnership network.
Offered in the second semester of the PGDM programme, this course takes learners through the complete venture creation journey — from idea generation and opportunity identification to prototype development and the Business Model Canvas.
