Prof. B. Yashaswini Murthy is an Assistant Professor at Ramaiah Institute of Management. In her tenure spanning close to a decade at RIM, she has been involved in the teaching learning process for the courses aligned to the areas of Business Law, Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University in the area of Competency Mapping. Her research aims to investigate the impact of competency mapping-driven recruitment practices on employee engagement. As a novice in the field of academic research, she has presented and published papers in reputed journals also developed Book chapters on the topic of Social Entrepreneurship.
B Yashaswini Murthy has been associated with Ramaiah Institute of Management for the last decade. Starting off as a Teaching associate, she has seen herself grow in various capacities.
She has been involved in the teaching and learning process for the courses related to General management, Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship. Dealing with the dynamism in the courses such as Business Law, Business Mathematics, Research Methodology, Data Analytics and Decision Management while being aligned to her core area of interest in the domain of Human resource management. Her keen interest in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship and industry experience working in a start-up, has seen her to be part of the course delivery of courses related to Entrepreneurship development.
With an approach of making every learning application oriented, her sessions have always incorporated experiential learning and critical thinking methodologies. She ensures students to explore various nuances of every course that is delivered.
As a novice in research, she is presently pursuing her PhD in the area of competency mapping. Her research aims to understand the impact competency based recruitment has on employee engagement. Besides this she has been involved in various research papers and book chapters related to social entrepreneurship which have been published in various journals.
She has been involved in consulting and research projects with Ramaiah Teaching Hospital and Ramaiah Memorial Hospital for conducting patient satisfaction survey and evaluation of employee satisfaction. Apart from these Prof Yashaswini has been part of consulting assignments for state universities like Nrupatunga University. Through a workshop on “Drafting Institutional Development Plan” she was instrumental in drafting and developing the IDP for the university.
She coordinates the Centre for Entrepreneurship and has steered the organizing and conduction of Guest lectures, Panel Discussions, Orientation and Induction programs, Conference and Conclaves at the institute
