Short Profile

Ms. Anjana is a Japanese language facilitator, consultant by profession, and a classical Bharatanatyam dancer. Having lived in Japan for 5 years, she understands the culture, learned Japanese language, and has cleared the N2 level JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) exam conducted by the Government of Japan.

  • Anjana is striving to leverage her experience and passion for Japan to build the ‘Japan Centre’ with University connects and imparting Language & Culture. This is been possible with the support from senior management at Ramiah.
  • Relationship Manager Indo-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IJCCI) From 2008 – Till Date
  • Passion for Indo-Japan cross-cultural exchange and language has helped Anjana to take on the responsible roles at IJCCI, such as leading delegations to Japan, organizing events and seminars, and Co-organising Japan Habba — the biggest Indo-Japan cultural fest in India, held in Bangalore
  • President - BNK (Bangalore Teachers’ Association) From 2022 – Till Date
  • This is an organisation in Bengaluru responsible for conducting Japanese-JLPT exams and promotion of Language and culture in Bangalore backed by Japan Foundation.
  • The friendly relations between India and Japan are historically and spiritually rooted. The two countries share an undisputed bilateral relationship. Over the years, the two countries have built and strengthened shared values and created a partnership based on both principles and pragmatism. Today, India is the largest democracy in Asia, and Japan is the most prosperous.
  • “Both Prime Ministers, Shri Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, during their visits to Japan and India in 2016 and 2017, signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in the areas of Science and Technology, Japanese Language Learning, Cultural Exchange, Civil Aviation, Manufacturing Skill Development Program, Agriculture, Sports, and many other fields.
  • India and Japan have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) establishing a basic partnership framework for the operation of the ‘Specified Skilled Worker’ (SSW) system, under which the Japanese government accepts foreign nationals with a certain level of expertise and skills. Economic relations between India and Japan have vast potential for growth, complementing each other by meeting the needs of both Asian economies. Japan’s interest in India is growing due to its large market and abundant resources, especially human resources
  • The presence of Japanese companies in India has been increasing steadily. The number of Japanese companies in Bangalore is about 550, and the total number in India is about 1500 in India. Bengaluru now has daily direct flight to Tokyo with Japan Airlines.
  • The interest and demand for the Japanese language among students has risen in recent years. 2,400 applicants applied for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) in Bangalore in in the year 2024 December. Students interested in Japan and JV companies have the opportunity to learn the Japanese language and culture and explore careers in industry, research, and higher education.

About The Faculty

Ms. Anjana is a Japanese language facilitator, consultant by profession, and a classical Bharatanatyam dancer. Having lived in Japan for 5 years , she understands the culture, learned Japanese language, and has cleared the N2 level JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) exam conducted by the Government of Japan.

She has been working as a relationship manager at the Indo-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IJCCI) – Karnataka for more than 16 years. Her passion for Indo-Japan cross-cultural exchange and language has helped her take on responsible roles at IJCCI, such as leading delegations to Japan, organizing events and seminars, and managing Japan Habba — the biggest Indo-Japan cultural fest in India, held in Bangalore.

Anjana is serving as President of BNK (Bangalore Teachers’ Association), a body responsible for conducting JLPT exams in Bangalore.

In her present role as Head – Ramaiah Japan Centre, Anjana is striving to leverage her experience and passion for Japan to build the ‘Japan Centre’ at Ramaiah with the able support from senior management
