Prof. Niharika Mishra, Chairperson – Marketing & IB at Ramaiah Institute of Management, is a dynamic academic leader with over 25 years of diverse experience in teaching, research, and industry. Concluded PhD in Sustainable Green Products, she is an ISB-certified expert in Digital Marketing & Analytics and holds an MBA in Marketing and HR. She has led high-impact consultancy projects with ITC Ltd and the oil & gas sector and renewable energy firms. A researcher with global recognition, she has played a key role in launching international immersion programs, driving institutional growth and shaping future-ready marketing professionals.

About The Faculty

Prof. Niharika Mishra, Chairperson of the Department of Marketing and International Business (IB), has been an integral part of the Ramaiah Institute of Management (RIM), Bengaluru, since 2013. She has concluded her doctoral research from Visvesvaraya Technological University, specializing in Sustainable Green Products with a focus on biomass based industrial fuels. She earned her MBA degree from Lucknow University with dual specialization in Marketing and Human Resource, complemented by an Honours Diploma in Systems Management from NIIT. Further reinforcing her competences, she completed a distinguished certification program in Digital Marketing and Analytics at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

With over 25 years of experience spanning teaching, research, and industry, Prof. Mishra's expertise encompasses Digital Marketing, Sustainable Marketing, Renewable Energy, Sales and Distribution Management and International Marketing.

As the Principal Investigator for a consultancy project with ITC Ltd, Bangalore, she provided critical insights into distribution strategies for institutional businesses, covering sectors such as IT, healthcare and education. She has also led a consultancy project for an oil and gas company, focusing on market research, supply chain analysis, and vendor profiling for a vital input product for the industry. In addition, Prof. Mishra actively consults renewable energy companies.

Her scholarly contributions include publications in internationally recognized journals and presentations at global conferences, where her work has earned Best Paper awards. She also shares her expertise through workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Management Development Programs (MDPs) besides rendering guest lectures on digital marketing.

Prof. Mishra is a Recipient of National Scholarship Award by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Dept. of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi in recognition of her exceptional academic performance. She has also been awarded the prestigious Bhavishya Jyoti Scholarship by NIIT for her Honours Diploma in Systems Management.

At RIM, she has played a pivotal role in institutional development. She has served as Conference Convenor, Coordinator for International Relations, Alumni and Media cell. Her efforts were instrumental in the successful launch of the Global Immersion Program in Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia which has significantly strengthened RIM’s international collaborations.

Prof. Mishra's unwavering commitment to education, research and sustainability underscores her position as an asset to both academia and industry.
