Dr. Ajay Kumar Pagare is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations Management and Head – Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at M S Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bengaluru. With over 16 years of experience in higher education, he has contributed as an academician, researcher, administrator, and quality assurance professional. His teaching and academic expertise includes Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Entrepreneurship, Leadership Management, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Maintenance Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.E. in Industrial Engineering & Management, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. His professional expertise encompasses IQAC, NAAC, NBA, NIRF, Outcome-Based Education, academic and administrative audits, accreditation, institutional development, and strategic quality improvement. He has published 25 research papers and holds 13 published patents.

His academic areas include Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Entrepreneurship, Leadership Management, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Maintenance Management. His multidisciplinary academic exposure enables him to integrate operational excellence, quality management, and strategic perspectives into teaching and institutional practices.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial & Production Engineering) from Government Engineering College, Bhopal, an M.E. in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed NAAC A++ accredited university.
His professional expertise extends across Academic Administration, Internal Quality Assurance, NAAC, NBA, NIRF, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Academic and Administrative Audits, and National and International Ranking Frameworks. He has been actively involved in quality assurance, accreditation processes, institutional development, strategic planning, policy implementation, curriculum development, academic governance, and continuous quality improvement.
Dr. Pagare's research and professional interests are focused on areas related to Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Optimization Techniques, Operations Research, Smart Manufacturing, and applied quality and process improvement. His scholarly contributions include 25 research papers published in reputed national and international journals and 13 published patents, reflecting his commitment to research, innovation, and applied academic outcomes.
