Dr. Savitha Rani Ramachandran is currently working as Registrar- Evaluation and Professor, Department of Finance & BFSI at MSRIM. She has more than twenty-five years of academic experience and has taught courses in Finance and Marketing areas. She presently oversees the examination related processes. She was the Academic Head and the NBA Coordinator (first cycle) earlier. She has co-authored and published research papers in the area of Strategic management, Banking & Marketing. She has worked in the industry for eight years in various sectors – Dairy, Pharma, & turnkey project and has handled operations in the finance and costing verticals.
Dr. Savitha Rani Ramachandran is currently working as Registrar- Evaluation and Professor, Department of Finance & BFSI, Ramaiah Institute of Management (MSRIM), Bengaluru and oversees the examination related processes culminating to the Convocation of the graduates of the PDGM program. She is a MBA from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirappalli and a Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Kolkata. Her doctoral work was in the area of Strategic Cost Management and Sustainability from Dr. MGR Educational Research Institute (University), Chennai.
She has more than twenty-five years of academic experience at PG level in the Management area. She has been associated with MSRIM for more than 18 years in various capacities – Program Head, Academic Head & NBA Co-coordinator. She was actively involved in formulating the quality standards, course design and delivery etc. and successfully completed the first cycle of accreditation by NBA. She was instrumental in introducing the hybrid mode of examination & evaluation to fast track the process.
She has presented and published several co-authored research papers in the areas of Strategic management, Banking & Marketing. She is also guiding Ph.D students. She is a member of review panel for International Peer Reviewed Annual Journal “JIGNASA” published by MLA First Grade College for Women, Bengaluru. She has reviewed papers in the Finance Area for Journal Press India. She has been an external examiner for VTU & BU MBA projects.
Prior to her academic career, she has worked in the industry for about eight years in Ahmedabad and Bangalore in various sectors – Dairy, Pharma, & Turnkey Projects and has handled operations in the finance and costing verticals such as liaising with Financial Institutions & Consortium bankers for appraisal, sanction and disbursements of term loans, working capital finance and export finance, preparation of internal MIS & Cost reports etc.
