The Global Immersion Program aimed to provide students with international academic exposure, industry understanding, and cross cultural learning. The program included structured classroom sessions, industry visits, and cultural fieldwork across Kuala Lumpur and Malacca.
Students completed 30 hours of academic sessions at the University of Wollongong (UoW), Malaysia, covering:

Heritage study tour to Malacca
KL city industry exploration, including the Chocolate Gallery
Visit to Royal Selangor Pewter Factory and hands-on School of Hard Knocks Workshop
Educational visit to Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery
Exposure to tourism infrastructure at Genting Highlands
Cultural visit to Batu Caves
Enhanced understanding of Southeast Asian business and financial systems
Strengthened cross-cultural communication and adaptability
Practical exposure to manufacturing processes and heritage industries
Improved teamwork, problem-solving, and global mindset
Alignment of classroom theory with global industry practices
The GIP to Malaysia (Feb 2024) significantly contributed to the internationalization goals of the institution by offering students direct exposure to global academic practices and industry environments. The program aligns on experiential learning, global competencies, and international collaborations.
