I had the privilege of attending the 2-day Case Writing Workshop hosted by Ramaiah Institute of Management on June 27th and 28th, and I must say that it was an incredibly enriching and transformative experience. The workshop offered a perfect blend of conceptual depth and practical guidance. Each session was thoughtfully designed—from understanding the nuances between a case, caselet, and case study by Prof. Srinivasan R (IIM Bangalore), to crafting compelling case titles and dilemmas with Prof. Bikramjit Rishi, and finally, developing strong protagonists and teaching notes under the expert guidance of Prof. Pooja Gupta.
The hands-on format, interactive discussions, and structured feedback made it a standout learning experience. I’m also honoured that my case idea received the Best Case Idea – Potential for Publication award, which further motivates me to explore this area more deeply.
My sincere thanks to the organizers, especially Prof. Anita Singh and Prof. Sankar Mukherjee, for curating such a high-impact workshop. I highly recommend it to any academic or practitioner interested in the art and science of case writing.
