Dr. Meghna Verma, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and IB and Head of the Centre for Excellence in Sustainability at Ramaiah Institute of Management, met Prof. Jochen Wirtz, Vice Dean of MBA Programmes and Professor of Marketing at NUS Business School, on 18th March 2025. Prof. Wirtz is a globally best-selling author of over 20 books, including Services Marketing – People, Technology, Strategy (9th edition) and his latest book on Agentic AI, which is already in high demand. During the meeting, Dr. Verma learned about new initiatives and groundbreaking research taking place at this renowned B-School.
Research Seminar at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NUS: Dr. Meghna also delivered an invited seminar on the complex behaviour of tourists in mass religious gatherings such as the
#KumbhMela. She held discussions with Dr. Prateek Bansal and his research team on the need for a
#multidisciplinary approach to ensure the success of such
#MassReligiousGatherings. They explored the role of
#engineers and
#management professionals in planning and executing the
#pop-up #megacity for the Kumbh Mela. The conversation also included the importance of
#publictransport and
#NMT (non-motorized transport) infrastructure in improving the quality of life for the citizens of
#Singapore.
