Dr. Meghna Verma, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and IB and Head of the Centre for Excellence in Sustainability at Ramaiah Institute of Management, was invited as a Panellist and Presenter at the Crowd Safety Summit, held from 19-21 March 2025 in Seoul, Korea. She presented her research on "Understanding the Complex Behaviour of Tourists in Religious Mass Crowd Events: Insights from Kumbh Mela Ujjain 2016."
The summit brought together experts and participants from various countries, including Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, China, Switzerland, and many more. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, such as the application of

#simulation, and advancements in crowd behaviour analysis.
Additionally, the summit emphasized on the holistic approach to crowd management, addressing key aspects such as planning, risk assessment, design and operations to enhance crowd safety.
