A Guest Lecture on the topic:

  20 Mar 2025

Board Room, RIM Campus

MSRIM Campus
A Guest Lecture was held on 20th March, 2025, by the Dept. of HRM & General Management on the topic: "AI & the Future of Talent: Hiring and Developing Talent in the Digital Age."

The session was conducted for PGDM 3rd Trimester HR Specialisation students (Batch 2024–26), and we had invited Mr. Jeevant Kumar, Consulting CHRO at Keystone Partners and Former Sr. Director of HR – APAC at Lam Research.

Mr. Jeevant’s expertise helped students understand the practical applications of AI-driven hiring, performance management, and ethical considerations in talent development. He highlighted how AI is streamlining talent acquisition through tools like HireVue and LinkedIn Talent Solutions, which automate processes like resume screening, job matching, and decision-making. He also delved into AI's role in reducing hiring biases, enhancing employee engagement, and enabling data-driven workforce management. These insights gave the students a clear understanding of how organizations are evolving to stay competitive in the digital era.

Overall, the students had valuable takeaways, such as the importance of monitoring AI systems to avoid algorithmic biases and the ethical considerations around data privacy. Mr. Kumar emphasized that while AI brings efficiency, its integration must be guided by fairness and transparency. This struck a chord with us, as we could see the balance HR professionals must maintain between technology and ethics.

The session, which was coordinated by Dr. V Padmaja, not only deepened the understanding of AI's role in HR but also encouraged the students to think critically about its potential challenges. It was an eye-opening experience, with eagerness to explore more about the dynamic intersection of AI and talent management. We thank Dr. V Padmaja Ma’am for connecting us with senior industrial experts regularly.
