The Dept of Marketing and IB organized a One-day International (Virtual) Marketing Conference RIM MarC 2021 themed Marketing in the Age of Digitalization and Disruption on August 12, 2021.

Conference convenor Prof. Niharika Mishra welcomed the guests. The Director (Academics), Dr. Manasa Nagabhushanam delivered the opening remarks at the inaugural session. Dr. Swati Basu Ghose (Head of the Department and Conference Lead) presented a brief introduction about the conference.

The Inaugural session was addressed by the Chief Guest Mr. Sameer Shukla, Executive Director, Customer Success, South Asia, NielsenIQ followed by Dr. Debashish Sengupta, Professor – Royal University for Women, Bahrain.

The plenary session witnessed two eminent personalities Dr.Sriram D, Senior Associate Professor, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai and Mr. Sundeep Mishra, who is our Alumni works as an Assistant General Manager, Data Science Product Owner, Innovation & Data Analytics, Volvo Group.

The paper presentation session commenced post lunch with three tracks. The parallel sessions were chaired by Dr. Rajendra Nargundkar, Director, NMIMS, Bangalore, Prof. Amit Shankar, Assistant Professor, IIM Vishakhapatnam and Dr. Sumitra Shreenath, Professor, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s M P Birla Institute of Management, Bangalore.

The valedictory address was delivered by Mr. James Murphy, CEO, The Responsible Partnership, U.K. who highlighted on the topic of Ikigai.

The paper titled Winning Marketing and Business Strategies in a Highly Competitive and Globalized Economic Environment: A Case Study of Fortune 500 Companies – Coca-Cola, Microsoft and Amazon by Ms. Manisha Mathews, Research Scholar at Swiss Management Centre, Switzerland was adjudged the best paper.
