There is no lateral entry and no policy of transfer from sister Institutions.

What are the courses offered by MSRIM and the corresponding certification?

The answer mentions 4 semester which has to be changed as 6 trimesters

Are there any other courses offered by the Institute?

MSRIM does not offer any other program other than PGDM approved by AICTE.However the institute offer certificate programs in specific and specialised areas of knowledge and skill building relating to business education to students and corporates

What is the fee structure, scholarship and fee waivers available?

Fee structure: Rs. 10.00 lakhs per course to be paid in 1+4 instalments.
Scholarship to the deserving candidate is offered based on the performance throughout the course of study.

What is the placement status & pay packages?

The Institute has a record of over  95 % placements. More than 100 companies visit the campus. The pay package ranges from Rs. 6 lakhs p.a to Rs. 17 lakhs p.a and students are getting placed in their respective domain. Placements are by & large within the country and a small percentage secure overseas employment.

What is the selection process for admissions to the program?

The Institute has set up standard selection process to enable selection of meritorious candidates.

  • Qualifying through Performance in Common Admission Test (MAT / CAT / CMAT/ other examinations)
  • Group discussion and Personal interview (conducted by the Institute)

WHY CHOOSE A PGDM PROGRAM OVER AN MBA

In today’s competitive world, a Post Graduation degree is preferred by both corporates and students for better growth. It gives an edge and enables graduates to be considered for higher level opportunities. Most students, however, are unable to differentiate between an MBA degree and a PGDM degree. This article aims to clear the doubts in the students’ minds. Let us first understand the difference between the two courses.

PGDM – Post Graduate Diploma in Management

This is a course offered by autonomous institutes like Ramaiah Institute of Management and are recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). PGDM is generally preferred by corporates as it is a more rigorous and exhaustive course. Institutions accredited with Association of Indian Universities can claim that their PGDM is at par with MBA.

MBA – Master’s of Business Administration

A management degree offered by universities and can be taken up by any undergraduate from any field. It is also a less exhaustive course when compared to a PGDM program. Other differences between the two:

Scope Has a broad scope as it allows one to choose multiple specialisations. A Finance major can choose a marketing minor or an Operations major can choose a HR minor and so on. Limited scope of specialisations

Course depth Subjects are covered more comprehensively with more depth into the subject matter. Covers a broad spectrum of the subject
