About the Faculty

Dr. Savitha Rani Ramachandran is a Professor in Finance at M S Ramaiah Institute of Management (RIM), Bengaluru. She is presently the Registrar – Evaluation at MSRIM and is overseeing the exam – related activities.

She is a MBA from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Trichirapalli and a Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Kolkata. Her doctoral work was in the area of Strategic Cost Management from Dr. MGR Educational Research Institute (University), Chennai. Her focus was on the dynamics of cost behavior and technological change in the coal mining industry

She is an Editorial Committee member of the bi-annual peer reviewed journal “Ramaiah Management Review” published by RIM and a member of review panel for International Peer Reviewed Annual Journal “JIGNASA” published by MLA First Grade College for Women, Bengaluru. She has co-authored and published several research papers in the area of strategic management, finance & marketing.

Prior to her academic career, she has worked in the industry for about eight years in various sectors – Dairy, Pharma, turnkey project and has handled operations in the finance and costing vertical.
